Preserving biodiversity

It is known that the preservation of nature and biodiversity represents one of the major problems of mankind, and one of the basic roles of the museum is educational; consequently, a major segment of the exhibition is dedicated to the preservation of the natural patrimony. To this effect, through modern technical means, the main protected areas in Oltenia region, as well as some species protected by European legislation (red-breasted goose, black-throated loon, Siberian eagle-owl, otter, wild cat etc) are brought into notice.

Tourist attractions in Oltenia

The last section of the basic exhibition promotes the most attractive landmarks in Oltenia, both as recreational areas, but also as oases of natural resource conservation. These are presented to visitors via an interactive electronic system, but also on illuminated panels, as technical means used to improve rapid, complex and attractive information.
